Unless you’ve had to take a "Rules of the Road" test lately, you may not be aware of "Move Over" laws. All 50 states enacted these laws and they are enforced. The laws are very simple. For example, a vehicle is stopped on the shoulder in the median strip. Oncoming traffic must then move over when possible to the next lane to pass.

The reason for this law is simple. Giving a wide berth to a stopped vehicle helps ensure everyone’s safety and smooth movement of traffic. Every day, hundreds of vehicles are on the shoulder. Some have simply run out of gas or have broken down. Drivers of some of these vehicles may be lost and are consulting a map. Other drivers may be experiencing a medical emergency. It really does not matter why a vehicle is stopped. We at Juettner Motors want to make sure that you are aware of the law and that you drive in a safe and considerate manner.
